I am a Crew Commander in the Fire Service with 22 years of service and am currently serving in the protection team. I have too many areas of interest to mention here. However, my most recent topics of interest include:
1. The efficacy of command and control models or Incident Command Systems (ICS) in Emergency Services, and why JESSIP will never work.
2. Neurodiversity in the emergency services are the
blind leading the visionaries?
3. Using Virtual Reality, UAV & EVTOL drones, and other technologies in training, operations, and income generation for emergency services.
4. The pandemic response, poor public communications, and mismatch of experts for all the wrong emergencies.
I enjoy discussion, embrace being proven wrong, and am comfortable failing in the pursuit of learning. I am keen to better my research skills and get back into the academic mindset. I intend to pursue the next stage in my education when the dust finally settles following this pandemic.
