Pete Davis is currently the HMICFRS Service Liaison Officer for Avon Fire & Rescue Service and has previously worked within local authorities, the NHS and ambulance service. He joined the fire and rescue service in 2004 to head up the implementation of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and has since developed Avon's National Inter-Agency Liaison Officer (NILO) scheme and co-ordinated the south west NILO cadre.

He is a Founding Fellow of the Institute of Civil Protection and Emergency Management and the current Chair of ICPEM's Historical Special Interest Group (SIG).
