An incredible presentation from Peter Cheesman director at the Emergency Planning Society The EPS Peter is an incredibly gifted presenter full of wit, charm humour and his passion for human aspects resonates with profound enthusiasm. So much to take away from this in terms of the risks of getting it wrong, for those affected internal and external and the risk to reputation. How we can embed human aspects effectively. But it goes so much further beyond that - morality and ethics and the impetus to consider why we do what we do and how we do what we do. This takes me back to last weeks #nonaturaldisasters conference- having the courage and conviction to look inwards and say where can we do it better to ensure we are serving and delivering a people centred response at all times. It can’t be just about processes, policy and plans. It’s lives and livelihoods at stake. The Emergency Planning Society The EPS have delivered some fantastic work through their human aspects group - practical action orientated guidance for practitioners- I will be going to get my copies and looking to embed this into my work
