CBR Cohort Study Day 2026 - Preparing for Tomorrow's Threats

The UK's Strategic Defence Review 2025 marks a pivotal shift in national security planning by placing "whole-of-society" resilience at the heart of its defence strategy. Recognizing the increasingly hybrid nature of threats, the review expands civil defence beyond traditional military domains.

This 2-day not-for-profit event, delivered by the CBR Cohort programme of Bath University in conjunction with the Institute of Civil Protection and Emergency Management (ICPEM), comprises expert speakers, presentations, and a comprehensive digital-driven interactive table-top exercise.

Scenarios not rehearsed since the late 1980s have been modernised to reflect current threats to the United Kingdom and NATO, forming the key elements of this unique exercise experience.
