National Consortium for Societal Resilience [UK+] - Part 4

Updated: Mar 29, 2023

Reflections from day 1 and looking ahead to day 2

Really excited for day 2 of the NCSR+ conference, where today we move the discussion forward from vision and challenges to collectively identifying possible solutions and methodologies.

From my group workshop yesterday and others - I tried to capture down all various aspects of the conversation & concepts and then map that against potential known methodologies, tools, frameworks and case studies. To begin building a very loose and basic how to operationalise and mainstream resilience in the UK. Whilst noting potential challenges of ensuring the methodology could be iterative and agile, for local adaptation and delivery, through community-based approaches in tandem with sustainable development challenges.

I’m keen to see how my scribbled roadmap of ideas aligns to the conversations that will take place today and how to further develop the ideas within it.

I’m also looking forward to the more detailed conversation around role, process and methodology. Through the sessions on:

The role of the NCSR in facilitating the delivery of the local aspects of the national resilience ambition.

  • How we can collectively make this a strategic partnership endeavour.

  • What next? An action plan for delivery.

It’s going to be another great day at the National Consortium for Societal Resilience [UK+] Conference on societal resilience 2023.
