Hi Mollie,
An example of this positive use and integration is Australia, where we have been utilising heavy lift drones equipped with AI and thermal technology that provide a multi-use platform both for the emergency services and law enforcement.
Recent integration included an international training delegation from Korean (national services) training on utilising heavy lift drones for the release of compounded fire retardant in hard to access areas.
A range of logistics hinderances put the team through its paces to deliver suppression options in remote and challenging environments. On the platform, the integration of AI allows for flora species identification, depth capacities, topography layout, thermal readings as well as the deployment of retardant in both 4x and 8x bladed drones. The cross pollination of technology adaptation and international engagement is benefiting both response agencies and disaster environments as the ultimate consumers.
